For existing clients who meet both clinical criteria below, your therapist may elect to support a petition for a short-term leave of employment.
- You are experiencing significant functional impairment in the workplace clearly caused by a serious mental health condition.
- You are willing to create a plan of action with your therapist which includes concrete steps you will take during a potential leave of employment. These steps are intended to improve your mental health and decrease the functional impairment you may be experiencing at work. These steps will likely include your commitment to: (a) attend ongoing treatment, (b) practice coping skills, and/or (c) take steps to improve stability in your life (secure housing, address nutrition, etc.).
Framework will assess an administrative fee to reimburse your therapist for filling out any required forms on your behalf.
Framework therapists are only able to recommend a leave of employment up to 30 days, starting from the date they complete the forms or the date that you started your leave (whichever date is earlier). If you believe you would benefit from a leave of employment longer than 30 days, we will need to refer you to a disability specialist at DarlingPsychology.com.
